2000 A controlled test of the Motivation - Adaptive Skills - Trauma Resolution (MASTR) treatment protocol with incarcerated juveniles. Principal Investigator. Supported by the NY State Office of Children and Family Services, Albany, NY. Funded: $96,000 plus in-kind support.
2002 Child trauma training for school-based mental health professionals post 9-11. PI on this Sidran Institute program evaluation project in the NYC public school system. Supported by the NYC Board of Education. Funded: $46,000 plus in-kind support. Replication supported by Philip Morris Companies, Inc. Funded: $50,000.
2004 Family Healing Project. Co-investigator; PI Julie Becker. Two-year pilot project with Harmonium, Inc., to provide community-based trauma-informed mental health services to under-served minority youth in San Diego, CA. Supported by the California Endowment. Funded: $308,000.
2007 Implementing trauma-informed treatment in residential and community programs for severely emotionally disturbed children. Principal Investigator on this 3-year project with New Directions Youth and Family Services, Inc. in Western NY. Supported with $60,000 from the Robert J. and Martha B. Fierle Foundation, $225,000 from the John R. Oishei Foundation, plus in-kind contributions by New Directions.
